Ciao for now

*meep.*
Yup. I just meeped. Really and truly meeped.

Essy-chan {aka Eskän}, I feel very small right now...

I just don't have anything to contribute to this blog right now. At this point in my life I'm concentrating on my writing, not my art.

Essy's been very active. Aaaand she's a lot better than I am. At art anyway.

So, dear Sketchers, it is time for Olive Tree to say farewell.

Essy-chan, you're a whizzybird with that Acorn thing... you can construct an excellent header, right? Cuz it can't really say "of two friends" anymore.
Oh silly Eskän... of COURSE we're still friends. Don't think that for an instant!

So...
Ciao for now!
{I may come back in a time once my novel is shipped away and off my chest. Essy-chan will let me back in... right?}

Arcanine (Scanned) by Eskän

Yes, I have scanned once again! Mwahahaha!  Only this time it is that of Arcanine! Yeah, yeah, I know you are probably laughing your guts out about right now saying 'what a nerd!' but really, I don't care. Pokémon are cool so shush up! Besides, I grew up around them (Yeah, the first time I actually saw it was when I was 4...). I mean yeah, they ruin the perfectly good anime by making stupid cards and action figures and whatnot, but I only like the movies,  etc.
     Anyways, here you are:

Neko Mördervampir by Eskän

Okay Blake, will you lay my talents to my own use now and for others? JK! Here's you in anime form, only, I couldn't help but make you a neko, because they're cute. XD
And for the others, I am still taking requests! Here you go:

For Blake (Mördervampir) by Eskän

My impatient guy-friend asked me to draw him like a wolf, so this was my result. I mean, do you KNOW what it's like with him checking up if you're 'done yet' every three seconds? -Sigh- Anywho, this is what I got. It kinda' sorta' resembles him too! One scan again, too many hurts more poor printer ;D!
Remember: Click it for a larger, clearer image!

And here's your scan!:

For Princess of Instruments (Sally) by Eskän

Here is your request from earlier, Sally! I actually got to use my new printer to scan one of the photo shots onto my computer! Finally! It works great, too...~ Also, this was done in ink and colored pencil. One more thing: this is at a weird angle like you are looking up at someone from below, so think of it that way!
Anywho, here you are, I see no reason to keep you waiting any longer! ~
Remember! All you have to do is click the picture for a better, clearer, and larger version in a separate window!

And here's my scan!

I've Got Ärt in My Sketchbook

Guter Tag, all. I must say I do have some art in my sketchbook finally! I'll be taking some requests, as I've said. So if you want me to draw you in wolf form, please read the information by clicking here. By the by, I'd like to share some graphics I've recently made. These are all mine and so they have 'gostumpie' written on all of them because they are my signatures. So please do not steal the name for I am afraid that that would be like stealing my 'name'. Of coarse, I trust you all to not do such a thing, but Olive Tree and I take plagiarism very seriously.
Anywho, I hope I do recieve some comments on these, there hasn't been any for a while so I'd greatly appreciate some! Hier sind Sie! Here you are!

Earth Wolf Comission by Eskän

Hey guys, sorry for the lameness of this blog, I haven't been able to put up as many posts lately with my schoolwork and homework and such, so again - I apologize. I'll be taking requests for people who want me to draw them as a wolf now because I've been running out of ideas lately, which isn't much like me at all. If you want to send me a picture of what you look like, do so by sending it to my blogger-use mail at: gostumpie.bloggerfans@hotmail.com. If you feel uncomfortable about that then just write a brief discription of yourself. I'd like to see you include your eye color, hair color, and your favorite color. Anything else you'd like to add will be excepted.
Out of boredom I drew (which this is what most artists do). So here you are, this is an Earth Wof Comission, again a small size image (it's just easier). This one is a bit rough, but I'm trying, so please feel free to commment!

Dark Sky Wolf by Eskän

Hey guys, yet again I have drawn another Wolf on Acorn. This time only one of it's face. I'm thinking about trying a one panel to see how that goes but it will take me a lot longer than usual, so I'll give it a try. If the results come up good, you'll be seeing it sometime this week. If not? Well, I'm afraid not but I still be posting some of my other works. Also, I attempted to cover up the white lines once again, so please give me your feedback on it. Thanks.
Sorry Olive. I PROMISE I will get those sketches up you wanted me to as soon as I get home. Ciao!

Seated Wolf by Eskän

Here you all are, I've just finished this. Please do tell me how you like my improvement! I've worked on shading in this image, just so you know. I also tried to fix the white out line problem. Again, be free to share any comments!

Greenda by Eskän

Here is another wolf I just finished a few seconds ago. Sorry Olive, I'll put that picture on later I promise (after I've gotton some sleep, it's like, 12:45 am - NO LIE!), but first I'd like to get some sleep. Anyway, enjoy! Feel free to comment again. Yada-yada. You know the rest. Goodnight.

Ultimate Crusade ~ How I draw with Acorn

I've noticed that a lot of people at my school have been asking me, "Eskän, how do you DO that?!" in reaction to when I show them some of my works on Acorn. I believe that Acorn is a harder graphics program to use rather than photoshop, which gives you guide lines when using it for digital art. Now, the art I am about to show you is my own, with my own characters so I would appreciate it if you did NOT COPY. This character is from my series I will be starting when I figure out how to animate on Elements 6. It is called Ultimate Crusade, which was changed from "Final Battle" because it reminded me of "Final Fantasy" a little too much.
Olive Tree has seen some of my wolves from it, such as "Crow" (Ikkeketsu Ituruga). The names mostly consist of Japanese but there are some German names as well! ;D
To get to the point, I am going to give you a tutorial, so here you are, this is how I draw on Acorn with a trackpad:

Step 1)
Although I've already drawn this wolf (because you all know that I am capable of this), I will show you the steps of how to draw a human with shading such as the wolf. Remember to save before you draw the person, animal, object, or scenery in back just in case you make an 'oopsie'!
Step 2)
Now, draw the what you want in back. I drew a human (the human form of the wolf, Rin, actually). This is one of the hardest steps to accomplish and once you started to color it in, you MAY NOT GO BACK to fix it, so keep that in mind when doing this.

Step 3)
Now it is time to start to fill in your image. If you are using Acorn, I suggest you use 'flood fill' to color it in. Make sure it is an enclosed space, otherwise it will flood fill the whole image.

Step 4)
The 'flood fill' button is located here. Make sure you have the color you want as well.
Step 5)
Now, you may hit the 'draw' tool for shading. Enlarge the size and range of the pencil (yes, use pencil). Use the same color as you used on 'flood fill' or it will appear too dark.

Step 6)
Now color in another part (we do this color by color, or you could be difficult too...) of the image. If you notice a white lined area around your eraser marks, do not fret. This will mostly be resolved when you add the rest of the shading.
Step 7)
Now, go to the 'draw' tool again and use the same color as you did the 'flood fill' for that part/area. Again, if you do not use the same color, it will appear too dark and will not be true shading, which creates the effect that it looks fake. If you wish to do that you may, but this is the correct way for shading. I prefer to dot it, it comes out lighter and it's easier to contol rather than drawing the tool (if you drag it for too long it again becomes too dark, dotting resolves this).

Step 8)
Look over your product so far and fix any shading that doesn't look right or where there need be more shade, etc.
Step 9)
Here is where I add necessary details including: eye color, blush, etc.

Step 10)
Now, it's time for me to add any grayscale colors. Here, I use a very light, off-white gray color. I have also added to the wolf as you can see. This ( I know you know, but what the hey...) is used to help identify shadows.

Step 11)
Now it is time for the background color. Make sure to leave no white space where there should be a background!

It is okay for you to over lap a bit. This gives the illusion that the object (hair, in this case) is not perfectly solid or has many strands - such as hair.

Final Step - Step 12)
Now it's the final product. You can add anything extra that you think should be the finishing touch ups. Here I added extra shading all around the edge of the image to make a small spotlight on my picture and also added my name!

Well, I hope that clears up some stuff! Feel free to comment. Yes, I love comments!
